The SIRIUS-UL+ is the preferred choice when high precision and speed are required at an optimal price-performance ratio. This HSC machining centre impresses with design features that ensure precision during the typically long machining times in mould making. Its gantry design with a closed rear wall, supporting the X and Z axes, delivers superior performance in a compact form. Free of overhangs or unsupported areas, it offers excellent precision across the entire travel range. Wide linear roller guides (53 mm) and generously sized 53-mm-diameter ball screws integrate seamlessly with the solid 12-tonne Meehanite cast bed, ensuring outstanding rigidity, robustness, and precision.

To maintain high precision during long cycles, the spindle and machine bed are monitored with thermal probes at multiple points, minimizing heat growth. The machine bed is thermally insulated inside and out, and chip conveyor vibrations are mechanically decoupled. Spindle deformations at high speeds are detected and compensated. Hwacheon’s unique oil-air cooling keeps motor spindles at a constant temperature in bearings and on the shell surface, providing optimal lubrication. A wide spindle selection allows the SIRIUS-UL+ to be perfectly tailored to nearly any application and material.

Modern control technology (Fanuc 31i or Heidenhain TNC640) and high ergonomics and user-friendliness ensure perfect results in producing and machining complex tools, moulds, cores, and cavities.
