For applications in tool, die, and mould making, from precision components to heavy-duty cutting, the M4 sets a new standard. No other machine in this segment stands out with its substantial weight, twin drives, and exceptionally stable guideways like this one. The M4 thus meets all requirements for dynamic heavy-duty cutting while also being suited to high cutting rates.

The twin drive on the Y-axis, with a drive power of 2 x 7 kW, ensures high rapid traverse speeds (up to 36 m/min) and strong feed forces. Likewise, the A-axis of the rotary table is equipped with two high-precision servomotors (2 x 7 kW) and a high-precision rotary encoder (0.0001°). The entire machine concept of the M4 is built on stability, precision, and durability. Its thermosymmetrical, FEM-optimised construction, along with actively cooled feed drives and an in-house manufactured spindle, guarantees consistently high precision and sustained performance.

The substantial 28-tonne weight of the M4 underscores Hwacheon’s philosophy in the design and production of high-quality machines for tool, mould, and die making. As the market leader in this significant South Korean economic segment, Hwacheon is renowned for stability, high performance, precision, and durability.

To achieve its unique stability, the M4 machining centre is fitted with box guideways on the Z-axis, three linear guideways on the X-axis, and six runners on two linear guideways on the Y-axis. Paired with Hwacheon’s High-Torque Spindle (1,009 Nm torque), this creates a market-leading combination that excels in all disciplines and provides you with a decisive competitive edge.

To ensure high quality standards, the spindles, machine bed, and rotary table are designed and manufactured in-house.
