The VESTA-1300B+ – ideal for highly ductile materials and high material removal rates

Thanks to its very wide box guideways and solid cast iron body, the VESTA-1300B+ offers ideal stability and damping properties to fully utilize the exceptionally high torque of the two-stage gear spindle. With four box guideways on the Y-axis, workpieces weighing up to 1,200 kg can be machined effortlessly.

The VESTA-1300B+ can be equipped with a wide range of spindles:

  • Gear spindles with BT-50: 6,000 or 8,000 rpm
  • Direct-drive spindles with BT-40: 10,000, 12,000, or 15,000 rpm

The VESTA-B+ series combines Hwacheon’s decades of experience in spindle and gear manufacturing, box guideway production, and the creation of solid machine beds. Hwacheon’s extensive in-house manufacturing allows all improvements and details to be integrated into the components. The thermosymmetrically designed machine beds have been optimized through FEM analysis to minimize thermal distortion. Numerous temperature sensors, proprietary control software (HTDC), and the oil-cooled gear spindle further reduce thermal effects. The VESTA-B+ series excels in applications involving difficult-to-machine materials and high volumes—without compromising accuracy. It stands for uncompromising heavy-duty cutting with high precision, even over extended operating times.

Hand-fitted and scraped by experienced staff, these guides ensure precision. Central oil lubrication provides continuous lubrication with bedway oil, while the Turcite coating on the sliding surface offers excellent emergency running properties. Machines with flat guides are more durable and can handle higher chip volumes. Thanks to these unique features, they are considered particularly powerful and reliable.
